CONIC SECTIONS

There are no ebook notes for conic sections.  However, there is a ton of information available on the internet:

http://www.intmath.com/plane-analytic-geometry/intro.php

http://www.coolmath.com/algebra/Algebra2/index.html#Algebra_2:_Analytic_Geometry_%28Conic_Sections%29

Great for getting the basics

http://patrickjmt.com/#algebra

This is a local instructor with one of the most popular websites for instructional videos in mathematics in the nation.  He works at ACC.  Unfortunately the topics are not arranged by category, but all of the conic section videos are listed in the third column in the algebra section.

This website gives a great overview and a list of vocabulary that you need.

http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/ConicFlyer/

You can actually graph conics using the interactive tool at this website.  Warning:  may not work if you use Firefox.

Of course, Khan has a whole library of videos on Conics and they are all very good.  Some of the vocabulary used is different, however.  Scroll down to the section on conics under algebra.

For writing equations of conic sections given certain information, use purplemath.
